Mullers Gallery Desk verified

Mullers Gallery is upstairs from Mullers Optometrists on Longmarket Street, above one of the better-preserved Art Deco shopfronts in the Cape Town CBD. The gallery runs regular exhibitions by local artists and studios, and the route to it — through a working optometrist's — is part of why people remember it. It is the kind of space that only exists because a long-established family business decided to use its own first floor for something other than storage. Longmarket Street puts it a block from Greenmarket Square. The gallery opens for First Thursdays, the CBD's late-opening evening on the first Thursday of every month.
