Kloof Street rooftop bar for golden-hour cocktails and sunset views, entered through Hudson's, running late into the evening.
Rita's sits above Kloof Street and is entered through Hudson's on the ground floor — a rooftop bar built around the hour before sunset, when the light comes off the mountain and the whole terrace turns the right colour. Cocktails are the point; the view is the reason the cocktails cost what they do.
It keeps going well after dark, which makes it a workable late stop on a First Thursdays evening spent at the Gardens end rather than in the CBD. Enter through Hudson's at 22 Kloof Street. Rita's takes part in First Thursdays, the CBD's late-opening evening on the first Thursday of every month.
